Annual Billing Conference on May 9, 2024
The MMIS Outreach Team has big news! They will not host five regional Annual Billing Workshops this fall. Instead, they will now host one centralized Annual Billing Conference for ALL Arkansas Medicaid providers on May 9, 2024. Register now or learn more on the Provider Training webpage.
Diabetic Supplies Update
To better assess the concerns and options proposed in public comments, DHS has postponed the effective date for Rule 243. Pharmacies will be able to begin billing diabetic supplies via regular NCPDP billing for beneficiaries starting 5/1/2024. DME providers will begin billing in the new portal starting 7/1/2024. AFMC will continue to review DME requests for continuous glucose monitors and diabetic supplies and provide necessary authorizations through 6/30/2024. Further communication will be provided when information is available.
